2026-27 ADVANCED PLACEMENT INFORMATION FOR PARENTS AND STUDENTS

 

Registration for AP exams opens on September 8, 2026, with regular pricing available through November 6, 2026. Please note that these are end-of-year cumulative exams, not placement tests for future course scheduling.

Registration Process

  1. Join Your AP Class: Register on AP Central using the Join Code(s) provided by your teacher(s). Use a personal email address for both College Board and Total Registration accounts. 
  2. Submit Payment: Complete your payment on the Total Registration site.
    • Note: Registration is not complete until both steps are finished.

Key Details & Deadlines

  • Standard Fee: $120 per exam.
  • Discounted Rates: Students qualifying for Free/Reduced Lunch receive a modified rate, but still must complete registration on Total Registration.
  • Late Registration: Registration between November 7, 2026, and February 28, 2027, incurs an additional $50 late fee.
  • Honors Class Students: If you are in an Honors class and wish to take an AP exam in your subject area, first pay via Total Registration to join the waitlist. Once approved, based on available space, you will receive a Join Code to finalize your registration on AP Central.
  • Email Requirement: Use a personal email address for both College Board and Total Registration accounts. DO NOT use your school email.
