Castro Valley High School 2026-2027 Walk Through Registration

Parents:  You must re-register your student  through the PARENT ABI Portal in order for your student to participate in Walk-Through Registration.  If you need to set up your PARENT ABI Portal please follow this link.

 

Students: You must be present for registration.  If you cannot make your day, you will need to register during Make-Up Registration or Late Registration.  There is no make-up registration from July 31st through August 4th.  Class assignments are not affected by time of registration.  If you are registering without your parent present, be sure to have the Data Confirmation Email and a signed Signature Page.  Students will not be able to register without proper signatures.

 

Walk – Through Registration Dates: Tuesday, July 28 and Wednesday, July 29, 2026

Students must be present for ID and Schedule Check

 

Make-up registration: Thursday, July 30 from  3:00pm - 7:00pm. (Aux Gym)

Late Registration: Wednesday, August 5 at 7:00am. (CFA)

First Day of School:  August 5,  2026

 

Be sure to come on your assigned day.  We cannot accommodate early registrants.  If you cannot make your day you may come on July 30 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm (Aux Gym) or Aug. 5 at 7:00am (CFA).

NO STUDENTS WILL BE ADMITTED FOR REGISTRATION AFTER 4:00PM. Please be on time because the lines will be cut off at 4:00pm sharp and anyone left in the lines will have to come back at make-up day or late registration.  Don’t panic.  We will get you registered!

Castro Valley High School 2026-2027 School Registration Steps

 

To register your student for the upcoming school year at CVHS, please follow these steps:

(Students new to CVUSD need to first follow the enrollment instructions on the CVUSD website prior to doing these steps).

 

STEPS:

Step 1

Starting July 22nd log in to the PARENT ABI Portal and re-register your student.

Step 2

Families with a Caregiver Affidavit, Shared Residency, or MKV residency must renew those prior to going to Walk Through Registration. (Parent/Guardian Forms) (Residency Information and Forms)

Step 3

Print necessary documents.

Step 4

Attend Walk Through Registration, bring mandatory documents with all required signatures. 

9th Graders: You will have an option to use either a Chromebook (Chrome OS) or a Dynabook (PC Windows OS). If you would like to switch to a Dynabook and utilize a Windows OS, please bring your Chromebook and charger for a device swap.

*There will be interpreters for Chinese and Spanish on Wednesday, July 29. Anyone needing interpreting services may register on that day . If you have any services that your family needs please do not hesitate to contact Castro Valley High School.

Helpful Pre-Walk Through Registration Hints:

  • There will be computers available for families who either need access to computers or help navigating the Portal.
  • Be sure to confirm your data after completing the PARENT ABI Portal process.  You will see a confirmation message when you have finished registering.
  • Please be sure to print all necessary documents.  In particular, you will need the Signature Page, the Medical Authorization form, and the Attendance Clearance information.

 

Helpful Walk-Through Registration Hints:

  • Most important: the student must be present.
  • Please read the Walk-Through Registration information handout.
  • Bring all necessary documents with parent signatures.
  • Bring school-issued device and charger if interested: 
    • 9th graders will have the option to swap devices (see Step 4 above).  
    • 10th, 11th, 12th graders can swap devices (Chrome OS or PC Windows OS) when returning a school-issued device and charger.
    •  Technology Devices are used consistently within classrooms and are needed daily by students. Prepare now in order to be ready for the first day of school. 
  • If you are not purchasing items using the Webstore, be sure to bring a method of payment.
  • Remember, don’t panic! We look forward to supporting you as we venture into this new school year! 

 

Walk-Through Registration Logistics

  • Enter campus through Gate 6 off Redwood Road. 
  • Turn right, head past the 700 hall, and enter the Aux Gym through the doors closest to the weight room / stadium side. 
  • Begin Check-in Process and proceed throughout the gym. 
  • Proceed out the doors heading to the blacktop towards 300/400 hall. 
  • Learn more about getting connected on campus. 
  • Proceed to 800 breezeway for schedules, textbooks, and technology. 
  • Head back out the 600 gate.
