Hello Trojan Families,


Here is a look at what's coming up this week at CVHS. We look forward to seeing you at our events. Please note this newsletter only contains on campus events, other events might be taking place off campus. Athletics tickets here. CFA event tickets here. 


With this being the first few weeks of school we’d like to give a few reminders.  

  • All numbered parking spaces are reserved for students or staff.  If you need to come to campus please park in a visitors parking space at the main office or in the surrounding neighborhoods. Students are not allowed to park in visitor spots.

  • During morning drop off please do not pull into a parking spot.  Pull to the front of the drop off line and let your student out. Parking spots are reserved and having families pull into spots creates a backup in the drop off process.  Please use loading zones (white curbs).

  • CVHS has a closed campus with the exception of lunch.  If students do not have a CVHS class during a specific period, they need to remain off campus.  This includes CVVA students, ROP students, and seniors that have no class during 1st and or 6th period. Students on campus without a class will be asked to exit campus until their next CVHS class.

  • CVHS does not allow any food delivery services on our campus as a safety precaution.  Students and families should not have food delivered to campus from Door Dash, Uber eats, and any other delivery company.  



Monday 8/17

All School Event

  • Homecoming work party contracts available outside room 607 or here.  Students interested in working on the class float, or participating in the class skit or class dance at the homecoming rally must complete and return to the store student outside of room 607.  




Tuesday 8/18

Parent Meeting

  • Padres Unidos parent meeting in the library from 6-7pm.


Wednesday 8/19

All School Event

  • Club Day at lunch in the courtyard and behind the gym.  Students can see all the clubs on campus.  A directory can be found here.  If the weather isn’t on our side we will move to Thursday.

  • Homecoming court and royalty contracts available outside room 607 or here. Students from all grades can apply for court, royalty is for seniors only. Winners ride in the homecoming parade, free tickets to the homecoming football game for them and a guest, receive one free ticket to the homecoming dance.   

Athletic Updates

  • Fall sports informational night in the cafeteria from 7-8:30 (directly following the Athletic Boosters meeting).  This meeting is for all parents of fall sports athletes.  Hear from the athletic director and your students coach.  

Parent Meeting 

  • Athletic Boosters parent meeting in the cafeteria from 5:30-7pm.  


Thursday 8/20

All School Event

  • Fire Drill, schedule here.


Friday 8/21

All School Event

  • Make up picture day.  

Student Performances

  • Choir Alumni Dessert Theatre in the cafeteria.  The show starts at 7pm.


Saturday 8/22

Athletic Contest

  • Tackle football scrimmage 9-5pm.  Tickets available here.
