Information & Communication Technologies Pathway (ICT) CISCO Networking

The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Pathway provides students opportunities to explore information and communication technologies applicable in high-wage, high-skill, high-growth industries.  ICT students are grouped into cohorts through their English classes; this collaborative approach allows ICT teachers to design cross-curricular lessons, ICT-focused assignments and ICT field-trips.  The shared experiences of pathway students helps create a tight-knit community in which individuals regularly support each other through their years at CVHS.  Using Cisco Systems curriculum, students will have the opportunity to learn using hands-on, virtual and simulated tools, as well as internship opportunities. Upon completion of the ICT Pathway and graduation from CVHS, ICT Pathway students will be prepared for ICT and networking certification, as well as post-secondary education paths.

ICT Pathway Goals

  1. Expose students to hands-on, virtual and simulated tools related to information and communication technologies.
  2. Provide opportunities for college credit and preparation leading to industry-recognized ICT and networking certifications and careers.
  3. Combine Common Core State Standards with industry-approved ICT curriculum.
